World Of Tanks Creator Sues Ex-Employees Over 'Blitz' TM

Law360 (March 26, 2020, 7:58 PM EDT) -- The creator of popular free mobile game World of Tanks Blitz has sued dozens of former employees it claims departed to create a new rival company, Blitz Team LLC, which it says infringes its trademark.

Cyprus-based Wargaming.net Ltd. filed a complaint Wednesday in California federal court seeking to stop a new trademark application filed by former leaders of Wargaming’s World of Tanks Blitz, or WOTB, product group who were known at Wargaming as The Blitz Team. It claims the infringement has harmed Wargaming, and Blitz Team should face claims of unfair competition.
