Fed Fights Order To Hand Bloomberg Bailout Docs

Law360, New York (October 1, 2009, 12:46 PM EDT) -- The Federal Reserve has appealed a judge's order to hand over records detailing an emergency lending program for banks to Bloomberg LP, which sued the Fed after its Freedom of Information Act request was rejected.

On Wednesday, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System filed a notice of appeal to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, fighting an Aug. 24 order to produce the emergency lending program documents under FOIA.
