Sprint Settles Suits Over Virgin Mobile Deal

Law360, New York (October 7, 2009, 3:04 PM EDT) -- Sprint Nextel Corp. has reached settlements in five separate lawsuits filed after the announcement of a proposed $483 million merger with Virgin Mobile USA Inc., which was announced in July, according to a regulatory filing Wednesday.

Sprint and the shareholders in seven lawsuits filed against Sprint, Virgin Mobile and Virgin Mobile's directors after the announcement of the deal reached memoranda of understanding settling the cases Tuesday, the amended S-4 filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said.
