Entercom Moves To End DOJ Investigation

Law360 (October 31, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Justice Department announced Tuesday that it will approve Entercom Communications Corp.’s purchase of 15 radio stations from CBS Corp. as long as it sells three of its stations in the Rochester, N.Y. area.

Entercom agreed to divest CBS’s WRMM-FM and WZNE-FM, and its own WFKL-FM in order to end the DOJ’s antitrust investigation into the $262 million sale it announced with CBS in August.
