FCC To Probe C-Band Auction, Prison Call Rates In August

Law360 (July 15, 2020, 6:57 PM EDT) -- The Federal Communications Commission is set to consider final rules governing a high-profile auction of satellite spectrum to mobile providers next month, as well as a long-anticipated review of prison-calling rates, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai announced Wednesday.

In a blog post, Pai said his agency plans to vote on the framework for the C-Band spectrum sale in August. This step will help keep the auction, expected to net billions of dollars, on track to commence in December, he said.
