Insurer Blames Degan Blanchard For Losing Accident Suit

Law360 (July 15, 2020, 8:27 PM EDT) -- Prime Insurance Co. took Degan Blanchard & Nash PLC to Louisiana federal court on Wednesday, blaming the firm for losing a suit over a truck accident because of the "substandard conduct" of the attorney retained for the case.

The suit stemmed from an accident in which a driver for a trucking company insured by Prime rear-ended a driver in front of him after traffic abruptly stopped, causing a chain reaction that damaged five other cars, with three of the drivers filing suits against the trucking company, the driver and Prime.
