Cancer Group Sues McDonald's, Others Over PhIP

Law360, New York (October 21, 2009, 4:24 PM EDT) -- Fast food giants McDonald’s Corp., Burger King Corp. and Friendly Ice Cream Corp. have been hit with a putative class action alleging that the companies' grilled chicken meals contain known carcinogen PhIP.

The Cancer Project — a charity dedicated to studying cancer causes, particularly the link between nutrition and cancer — filed suit Wednesday in the Superior Court of Hartford, Conn.
