Actus, Google Drop Electronic Payment Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 23, 2009, 12:25 PM EDT) -- Patent-holding company Actus LLC has dropped its claims against Google Inc. in a lawsuit against nearly two dozen technology companies over patents related to an electronic payment system.

Judge T. John Ward of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas approved a joint stipulation between Actus and Google dismissing all claims and counterclaims between them with prejudice on Thursday.

The parties, which filed their stipulated dismissal motion on Oct. 16, will bear their own costs.
