BSkyB Appeals ITV Stake Cut Order In London Court

Law360, New York (October 29, 2009, 5:56 PM EDT) -- British television company British Sky Broadcasting Ltd. on Thursday reportedly began its attempt to overturn a decision that would force it to give up part of its nearly 18 percent stake in another television company because of antitrust concerns.

The proceeding began in the U.K. Court of Appeal in London, Reuters reported, after the the Competition Appeal Tribunal told Sky last year that it would have to reduce its stake in ITV PLC to below 7.5 percent.
