SEC Names New Deputy Secretary

Law360 (November 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday appointed senior special counsel Florence Harmon to the position of deputy secretary.

Florence Harmon joined the SEC in 1997 and became senior special counsel in August 2001. As senior special counsel, Harmon supervises staff in reviewing and analyzing the self-regulatory organization rule filings and developing rules for SRO processes that support SEC actions.
