Sony Latest To Be Sued Over Laptop Battery Life

Law360, New York (November 6, 2009, 1:25 PM EST) -- Advertising by Sony Electronics Inc. significantly overstates how long the batteries last in its Vaio series of laptop computers, according to a proposed class action alleging breach of contract and violations of Missouri and California consumer protection laws.

The suit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri by consumer Dennis Cardwell, seeks to represent a class of all those who purchased a Vaio computer between 2004 and the present.
