Couple's Equity Credit Claims Against WaMu Pared

Law360, New York (November 20, 2009, 4:35 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Thursday pared down a California couple's breach of contract putative class action claiming Washington Mutual Bank unlawfully stripped them of their access to an established $250,000 home equity line of credit.

Judge James Ware's ruling, issued Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, dismissed Truth in Lending Act claims against the bank but upheld a breach of contract claim.
