Guess Nears Win In Bid To Arbitrate Sex Harassment Claims

By Craig Clough (May 17, 2021, 7:13 PM EDT) -- A California judge tentatively indicated Monday he'd send sexual assault and sexual harassment claims filed by a model against Guess Inc. and its co-founder Paul Marciano to arbitration but said he would hold off on a final ruling while he considers arguments raised by Lisa Bloom, the model's attorney.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steven J. Kleifield told the parties during a remote hearing that he will delay a final ruling on Guess and Marciano's joint motion to compel arbitration after Bloom urged him to reconsider his tentative ruling indicating he will find in favor of the defendants.
