Manager OT Actions Seek $1B From AT&T, Subsidiaries

Law360, New York (December 16, 2009, 4:44 PM EST) -- AT&T Corp., Pacific Bell Telephone Co. and BellSouth Telecommunications Inc. have been targeted by two putative wage-and-hour collective actions that accuse them of deliberately misclassifying thousands of first-level managers as exempt from overtime pay requirements and seek a combined $1 billion in damages.
