Universal Wins Default Judgment In Indian TV Spat

Law360, New York (December 17, 2009, 5:15 PM EST) -- A federal court has entered a default judgment ordering Entertainment Television Network FZE to pay $45 million in damages to Universal Studios International BV for violating a contract concerning licensing movies and television shows for cable in India.

The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Wednesday also ordered ENTV to pay prejudgment interest, more than $180,000 in attorneys' fees and nearly $4,000 in costs.
