Wireless Cos. At Risk After Australian Agency Ruling

Law360 (November 27, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- More than 100 technology companies may be hit with patent infringement allegations after this month’s favorable ruling for the Australian national science research agency in an infringement suit over an instrumental wireless patent.

The Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), one of the world’s largest science research agencies, won summary judgment earlier this month from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas in a suit over a patent covering wireless network technology used worldwide.
