Sony Pushes Settlements In 4 HDTV MDL Cases

Law360, New York (January 13, 2010, 7:11 PM EST) -- Sony Corp. has asked the federal judge overseeing the multidistrict litigation over its faulty high-definition televisions to apply a recent motion for dismissal to several of the putative class actions — or at least stay the proceedings — while the defendants hammer out a nationwide settlement with another group of plaintiffs.
