Law360, New York (January 20, 2010, 7:17 PM EST) -- The previous decade began with a crush of high-profile, attention-hogging securities litigation, sparked by Enron Corp., Worldcom Inc. and Martha Stewart, and ended with a financial crisis that made those cases seem almost like footnotes.

“I think what happened is that Enron was at the beginning of the decade, and you had a lot of fallout,” said Pravin Rao, a partner at Perkins Coie LLP. “The rules, at least in securities cases, became in flux.”
