Jury Nails Architect For $2M Over Time Warner Arena

Law360, New York (January 25, 2010, 5:45 PM EST) -- A North Carolina jury has handed down a $2.38 million award to two subcontractors that sued architectural firm Ellerbe Becket over deficient designs it drafted for the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte.

In their verdict on Thursday in the Mecklenburg County Superior Court, the jurors found that the firm was negligent in the planning and administration of construction on the sports arena, according to plaintiffs' attorneys Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP.
