DOJ Seeks More Info On $130M Churchill Downs Deal

Law360, New York (January 26, 2010, 2:44 PM EST) -- Churchill Downs Inc. and horse-betting Web site Inc. have received second requests from U.S. antitrust regulators on the famed racetrack operator's proposal to buy the Internet-based company for nearly $130 million.

The companies said in a joint statement Monday that they were in the process of gathering information to respond to the requests and working cooperatively with the U.S. Department of Justice as it reviews the merger.

A DOJ spokeswoman declined to comment Tuesday.
