Plaintiffs Reboot Apple MP3 Monopoly Suit

Law360, New York (January 26, 2010, 6:07 PM EST) -- Plaintiffs in the putative class action accusing Apple Inc. of stifling competition in the portable MP3 player market have stitched together a new complaint after Apple successfully hacked away several key claims.

The plaintiffs lodged a tightened and revised complaint Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, hoping to bolster its claims that Apple monopolized the market for MP3 downloads by making sure that songs purchased from iTunes could only be played on Apple products.
