Slew Of Class Actions Filed Against GPU Chip Makers

Law360, New York (December 7, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- In the wake of the U.S. Department of Justice’s investigation into possible anti-competitive activities at three graphics chip companies, various class actions have been filed against Nvidia Corp., ATI Technologies Inc. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc.

The suits allege that the companies participated in a conspiracy to fix, raise, maintain or stabilize the prices of graphics processing units and cards. By violating unfair competition laws, the companies have wrongly injured thousands upon thousands of parties, according to the suits.
