Delta, AirTran Face Consolidated Baggage Fee Suit

Law360, New York (February 2, 2010, 1:38 PM EST) -- The plaintiffs in multidistrict legislation alleging Delta Air Lines Inc. and AirTran Airways Inc. colluded over baggage fees have filed their first consolidated class action complaint, one of the first major filings since 12 similar cases were grouped together in October.

The consolidated complaint was filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, accusing the two companies of communicating through quarterly earnings calls, industry conferences and joint negotiations with the Atlanta airport to increase prices for consumers.
