ISP Didn't Infringe Studios' Copyrights: Australian Court

Law360, New York (February 4, 2010, 4:03 PM EST) -- Dismissing a lawsuit brought by 34 movie studios, an Australian court on Thursday found Internet service provider iiNet Ltd. not liable for subscribers' copyright infringement, even though the company knew they were illegally downloading films and refused to stop them.
