Upper Deck, MLB Settle Baseball Card Trademark Spat

Law360 (March 4, 2010, 1:19 PM EST) -- The Upper Deck Co. LLC has settled a breach of contract and trademark infringement dispute with Major League Baseball's licensing arm, agreeing to fork over more than $2 million in past debts and no longer manufacture baseball cards using MLB logos, uniforms or trade dress.

Upper Deck will also pay Major League Baseball Properties Inc. an undisclosed sum of money for unlicensed cards sold during 2010, according to settlement terms filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
