BofA, Merrill Hit With New Gender Pay Bias Action

Law360, New York (March 30, 2010, 7:07 PM EDT) -- One current and two former financial advisers at Bank of America Corp. launched a putative class action against BofA and its Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. subsidiary Tuesday, accusing the banks of systemic bias against women in their pay practices.

The complaint, lodged by named plaintiffs Judy Calibuso, Julie Moss and Dianne Goedtel in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, seeks an order ending the bank's alleged discriminatory policies, awards of back pay and front pay, and damages.
