Facebook Gets Video Game Copyright Suit Tossed

Law360, New York (April 1, 2010, 4:55 PM EDT) -- Facebook Inc. has won the dismissal of a copyright suit brought by a video game designer alleging that a game available on the social networking Web site infringes one of his creations.

Judge William Alsup of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday granted Facebook’s motion to dismiss Marietta, Ga., resident Daniel Miller’s copyright infringement suit, but allowed the plaintiff a chance to file another amended complaint in the case.
