Law360 (April 6, 2010, 3:03 PM EDT) -- Food service company Aramark Corp. has agreed to fork out $3.9 million to settle a wage-and-hour class action brought by its California employees.
Plaintiffs in the suit filed a motion Monday asking the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to preliminarily approve the proposed settlement which will resolve the allegations of four class actions filed in California against the company.
The motion also seeks certification for a settlement class of nonexempt employees who worked in Aramark's Sports and Entertainment or Business and Industries divisions in California from July 29, 2005 until the settlement wins preliminary approval.
