Plaintiffs Seek Class Status In Nvidia GPU Suit

Law360, New York (April 7, 2010, 3:01 PM EDT) -- The lead plaintiffs in a consolidated class action accusing Nvidia Corp. of making defective graphic processing units that caused their computers to malfunction have moved for class certification on behalf of anyone who has purchased “class computers” since September 2004.

The motion, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, asked the court to certify a Rule 23 class, as well as a subclass of customers who bought their computers in California during the same time period.
