Sanofi-Aventis Sued By Reps For Overtime Pay

Law360 (January 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. unit of French drug firm Sanofi-Aventis has become the latest target in a series of lawsuits brought by employees accusing pharmaceutical giants of violating state and federal overtime laws.

The suit accuses the company of unlawfully characterizing pharmaceutical representatives as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and various state labor laws in order to deprive them of overtime pay.
