NY, Ill. Classes Certified For Aon Overtime Suit

Law360, New York (April 12, 2010, 1:05 PM EDT) -- Plaintiffs accusing insurance brokerage Aon Corp. of misclassifying its client services workers in Illinois and New York as exempt from overtime pay have won class certification.

Judge Charles P. Kocoras of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois on Friday granted Illinois plaintiffs' motion for class certification to pursue claims under Illinois wage laws, as well as a motion filed by New York plaintiffs seeking conditional certification for two collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
