Judge OKs Terms In SEC's Schottenfeld Deal

Law360, New York (April 20, 2010, 3:17 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has signed off on a nearly $763,000 settlement the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Schottenfeld Group LLC reached on allegations that the broker-dealer profited on information acquired as part of the Galleon Group insider trading scandal.

The settlement, approved Monday by Judge Jed S. Rakoff of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, was originally put on hold April 5 after the judge asked for more information on how the SEC and Schottenfeld reached their disgorgement figure as...
