Photographer Denied Cert In Photo Beef V. NY Times

Law360, New York (May 3, 2010, 11:57 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to grant freelance photographer Thomas Alexander Dallal a review of an appellate court ruling affirming a jury's verdict that The New York Times did not infringe his copyrights by publishing his photos online.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit determined in December that Dallal knew his more than 1,000 assignments, many of which were restaurant reviews, would also appear on the Internet despite wording on his invoices banning such republishing.
