Telogy To Pay Penalties For Export Violations

Law360, New York (May 7, 2010, 6:04 PM EDT) -- Belgian defense manufacturer Telogy International NV and a former U.S. subsidiary have agreed to pay $500,000 to settle allegations the companies deliberately evaded export regulations when they shipped equipment to India, China, Israel and South Africa.

Telogy International and Telogy LLC will pay civil penalties of $437,000 and $76,000, respectively, to settle the charges, according to the papers that were filed Wednesday by the Bureau of Industry and Security.
