Law360, New York (May 10, 2010, 3:45 PM EDT) -- With lawsuits over the Gulf of Mexico oil spill mounting by the hour, BP PLC has reportedly asked the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to consolidate the actions in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, putting Judge Lynn Hughes in the position of overseeing what promises to be an epochal legal battle.
