Judge Tosses $20M Pollution Suit Against Exxon, CBS

Law360, New York (May 14, 2010, 1:35 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has again booted a lawsuit against Exxon Mobil Corp. and CBS Operations Inc. over pollution at the site of a former zinc smelting operation in Illinois.

Judge Joe Billy McDade of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois on Wednesday granted Exxon's motion to dismiss the suit brought by DePue, Ill., ruling that the town's claims were time-barred.
