Class Action Blasts Pulte Over Shoddy Plumbing

Law360, New York (May 17, 2010, 12:45 PM EDT) -- Texas homeowners have launched a putative class action accusing Pulte Homes Inc. of using defective plumbing fittings, echoing allegations that led the homebuilder to pay more than $27 million to a class of Nevada residents.

The class action complaint, filed Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, claims that Pulte Homes installed defective Kitec plumbing fittings in thousands of homes throughout Texas and failed to notify homeowners that the shoddy fixtures were recalled in 2005.
