YRC, Teamsters Hit With Race Bias Class Action

Law360, New York (May 19, 2010, 5:48 PM EDT) -- YRC Worldwide Inc., one of the largest transportation service providers in the world, and the Teamsters have been hit with a putative class action alleging both the company and the union discriminated against black workers.

The lawsuit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, said black employees endured racial epitaphs and graffiti at the workplace, dangerous physical intimidation by white co-workers, and a "hit list" of minority employees marked for termination.
