Regal To Buy Theaters In DOJ-Mandated AMC Sell-Off

Law360, New York (May 24, 2010, 3:12 PM EDT) -- Regal Entertainment Group has said it will buy nine movie theaters from AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc., clearing the way for AMC's $275 million purchase of a smaller chain of theaters following a mandate from antitrust regulators that AMC divest some properties in the deal.

Regal said Monday it would buy the theaters from AMC in exchange for two Regal theaters and an undisclosed sum of cash.
