A-Rod Named To Texas Rangers Creditors Committee

Law360, New York (June 4, 2010, 5:32 PM EDT) -- New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez has been tapped by the U.S. trustee to serve on the official unsecured creditors committee in the bankruptcy case of the Texas Rangers, the third baseman's former team, which owes him $24.9 million in deferred compensation.

The trustee filed the appointments to the committee Thursday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. Rodriguez holds the largest unsecured claim, followed by five other baseball players.
