DVD Licensor Aims Death Blow To Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (June 8, 2010, 2:57 PM EDT) -- DVD Format/Logo Licensing Corp. is looking to pull the plug on EcoDisc Technology AG’s antitrust lawsuit, claiming the latest complaint fails to flesh out allegations that the international formatting organization has illegally thwarted the emergence of an environmentally friendly DVD.

On Monday, DVD FLLC urged Judge Mariana R. Pfaelzer of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to can the first amended complaint and dismiss the lawsuit, contending that EcoDisc has failed to remedy fatal deficiencies in the suit.
