Calif. Managers Say Godiva OT Policy Not So Sweet

Law360, New York (June 11, 2010, 5:19 PM EDT) -- A group of former managers at Godiva Chocolatier Inc. stores in California have renewed a proposed class action in federal court claiming the Belgian chocolate retailer improperly failed to compensate them for overtime and meal breaks.

Daniel Lippold and four fellow plaintiffs filed an amended complaint Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, alleging Godiva had violated overtime, meal break, rest period, untimely wage payment and record-keeping provisions of the state's labor laws.
