Stanford Insurer Gets Access To Potential Fraud Docs

Law360, New York (June 14, 2010, 4:25 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has allowed alleged Ponzi schemer Robert Allen Stanford's insurer access to sealed documents in Stanford's criminal case that contain information that may implicate his attorney in insurance fraud.

Judge David Hittner of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas on Friday allowed Certain Underwriters at Lloyd's of London to view all material filed under seal relating to allegations that lawyer Robert S. Bennett engaged in insurance fraud or other improprieties concerning the policies at issue.
