9th Circ. Rejects Appeals Over LCD Panel Classes

Law360, New York (June 15, 2010, 7:51 PM EDT) -- A federal appeals court has shot down separate bids by Sharp Corp., LG Display Co. Ltd. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. to challenge the certification of classes of purchasers in multidistrict litigation alleging manufacturers of thin film transistor liquid crystal display panels orchestrated a massive price-fixing scheme.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on Monday denied the three petitions for permission to appeal the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California’s March orders granting class certification.
