Amgen Shareholders Appeal ERISA Loss To 9th Circ.

Law360, New York (June 25, 2010, 3:51 PM EDT) -- Employee shareholders have decided to appeal a federal judge's dismissal of their putative class action against Amgen Inc. over alleged drug safety concerns and illegal marketing that sent the biotechnology company's stock price plummeting.

Four named plaintiffs filed a notice of appeal in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Thursday, taking the case to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
