Intel Joins Dell In Expanded Shareholder Suit

Law360 (February 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Computer maker Dell Inc. inflated profits by hundreds of millions of dollars through "secret and likely illegal" kickbacks from chip maker Intel Corp., according to a shareholder lawsuit filed late Wednesday against both companies.

The complaint, filed in federal court for the Eastern District of Texas, expands on a similar lawsuit filed against Dell in September 2006 by targeting Intel, as well as auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers and several Dell executives.
