PS3 'Open OS' Suits Against Sony Consolidated

Law360, New York (July 1, 2010, 1:52 PM EDT) -- Plaintiffs in seven putative class actions accusing Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC of reneging on its promise to let users run Linux and other operating systems on PlayStation 3s have agreed to consolidate the cases.

Judge Richard Seeborg signed off on the stipulation Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and asked for a consolidated, amended complaint to be filed within 30 days.
