Cory Lidle Plane Crash Suit Survives Dismissal Bid

Law360, New York (July 7, 2010, 4:35 PM EDT) -- A federal judge has refused to grant summary judgment to Cirrus Design Corp. in a suit brought by the families of Major League Baseball pitcher Cory Lidle and his flight instructor after the two men were killed when their Cirrus SR20 plane crashed into a Manhattan high-rise in 2006.

Judge Barbara S. Jones' opinion, issued Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, also denied the Wisconsin-based aircraft maker's bid to strike the expert testimony of five witnesses for the plaintiffs...
