McDonald's Will Fight Proposed Happy Meal Suit: CEO

Law360, New York (July 7, 2010, 4:42 PM EDT) -- McDonald Corp.'s CEO has vowed to defend bundling toys with its Happy Meals against a consumer group that vows it will sue over the “deceptive” practice.

The Washington, D.C.-based Center for Science in the Public Interest's criticism about the toys in McDonald's children's meals denigrates parents and families who are fully capable of making their own decisions, McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner said in a July 6 open letter to the group.

“CSPI is wrong in its assertions, and frivolous in its legal threats,” Skinner said....
