Starr Receiver Says Scorsese Owes Fees

Law360, New York (July 8, 2010, 6:05 PM EDT) -- The receiver overseeing business entities of accused Ponzi schemer Kenneth Ira Starr has filed a breach of contract suit alleging that film director Martin Scorsese and his production company failed to pay for business management services.

Troutman Sanders LLP attorney Aurora Cassirer lodged the suit against Scorsese and Sikelia Productions Inc. on Thursday in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, claiming that the company owes the Starr entities about $600,000, or about 5 percent of Sikelia's earnings since 2006.
